Silca Chain Waxing System - Heated Wax Pot & Drip Stand

Silca's Chain Waxing System is the ultimate solution for bicycle chain waxing!

The core of the system is the 600 ml Wax Heating Pot, which is designed specifically for chain waxing. Starting with temperature, you can easily set the ideal temperature for your wax in 1 ºC increments with the plus/minus buttons, not just the typical high/medium/low of slow cookers. The pot has a heating range of 75 - 125 ºC, ensuring you don't overheat wax and cause chemical decomposition, which can occur at temperatures north of 140 ºC. Silca developed custom heating coils that cover the entire underside of the pot, rather than just a single element in the center. This allows the pot to heat up to max temperature in approximately 10 minutes, and consistently heat the entire pot. The pot is also the perfect size for a single chain so you no longer need to fill a slow cooker with enough wax to feed a small family! It's got a clear lid so you can keep an eye on the wax whilst keeping the head contained.

The Chain Coupler is a simple loop of steel cable with threaded aluminium ends that is designed to be looped through your chain and secured into a loop, creating a handle so you don't have to cover your hands in 125 ºC wax. The coupler is compatible with all bicycle chains, from single speed through to 13 speed, including SRAM FlatTop.

Once you have soaked and agitated your chain through the wax, you can hang the coupler on the Chain Hanging Drip Stand. The stand is designed to nest underneath the wax pot so you can drip any excess wax right back into the pot to use for the next application, however, you can also use is separately.

We only sell the Australian and New Zealand version of the pot with the Type I plug for 240V 50 Hz AC. It is essential that you purchase the correct plug as Silca have designed the heating pot with a non-replaceable cord.
