DT Swiss was founded in 1994 as a spoke manufacturer in Biel, Swizerland. Fast forward to today and DT Swiss has just celebrated their 30th anniversary and are best known for their legendary hub range featuring their patented Star Ratchet design.

As they grew their business, expanding from spokes to hubs, and then rims, they often received requests from wheel builders using their product, asking if they could recommend better wheel building tools. With a lack of quality offerings on the market, DT Swiss set about designing refined tools that allowed wheel builders to easily build wheels to DT's stringent standards.
