Pedro’s Pro Chain Whip is a shop-quality chain whip designed for removing cassettes and single speed / fixed gear sprockets from bicycle hubs. It is compatible with all multi-gear cassettes including 13-speed with the chain retention hook fitting cogs up to 18 teeth.
While the tool pays homage to classic chain whips, Pedro's have drawn inspiration from their classic Vise Whip, applying many of the same functional principles.
The innovative chain retention hook locks the tool onto the cassette, ensuring full chain wrap and eliminating slippage. An added bonus of this feature is that the tool stays in place on its own, so no more fumbling with your cassette lock ring tool with one hand while trying to keep your chain whip in place. The hook and magnet also handily secure the chain to the handle during storage.
Last but not least, Pedro’s snuck in an integrated fixed gear lock ring wrench, optimized for 41-42 mm OD lock rings – one less tool to carry.
The tool has plenty of leverage, coming in at 270 mm long and weighing 225 g.
