Maxima Mineral Brake Oil was developed in collaboration with SRAM for their DB8 and Maven Brake Systems.

Maxima has blended the oil to maintain a high boiling point, which is the main argument for designing brakes around DOT Fluid. A high boiling point ensures consistency of the lever feel and brake power, especially on long downhill runs. It also reduces the frequency of bleeds as there is less opportunity for air to make it into the system.

Whilst it was originally designed for SRAM Mineral Oil Systems, Maxima also recommend the oil for use with Shimano, Magura, and Tektro Mineral Oil systems. If you're changing from the OEM Fluid, a full system flush is recommended, but not essential.

Do NOT use this oil in SRAM DOT Fluid Systems.
