Description
Pedro's Pro Saw Guide features a durable full metal construction and delivers straight, precise, and clean cutting.
With a clamping range of 19 mm to 39 mm diameter tubes, the guide is compatible with handlebars (normally 22.2 at the grips), all common seat post sizes, and of course, steerer tubes - of which it will handle sizes from 1" to 1.5". Thanks to the flat back, the guide is great for use on D-shaped Aero seatposts and even those funky non-round steerer tubes designed for internal cable routing.
The dual clamping system simply utilises two bolts with 5 mm drives which allow you to just grab your favorite 5 mm hex key and accurately apply even pressure to whatever you're clamping - you can even use a torque wrench! The lack of a specific handle removes a lot of the bulk, saving space in travel toolboxes, but also allows for clear vision of what you're cutting - a common issue with other bulkier saw guides where you can't actually see what the blade is doing.
We haven't even got to the standout feature yet - and that's the variable sizing shims. No longer do you need 2 saw guides for carbon and aluminium blades - just swap the shims around and you're good to go. If you are cutting carbon, please ensure you have the appropriate blade - our recommendation is the Effetto Mariposa CarboCut.
The guide plates taper in at the top, so in the narrow configuration the spacing is 1.2 mm - 1.3 mm and in the wide configuration, the spacing increases to 2.3 mm - 2.5 mm apart.
