BSC Tools Ring Nut Tool for DT Swiss Star Ratchet (Ratchet LN) rear hubs allows you to easily remove the drive rings
Star Ratchet freehub ratchets can be found in 2019 and older models of DT Swiss 240, 240s, and 180 hubs, along with all 350 and 380 hubs. Star Ratchets can also be found in many other brands of hubs that are manufactured by DT, including: Giant, Scott, Bontrager, Syncros, & Roval - just to name a few.
BSC also make a tool for the newer Ratchet EXP system released in 2019.
The socket is machined from carbon steel and has an extremely durable coating applied. It features a 24 mm hex drive and is safe use in Impact Drivers although we do not recommend using it in a vice. If you are using Impact Tools, start with a low torque setting to avoid damaging the aluminium ring nut you are removing - if it isn't budging, apply heat and slowly increase torque.
